The latest news from JET...
Change 4 and (probably not) Final. Changes to the tentative sked...see it here
Hey Gang,So, effective today, you are responsible for booking your room(s) at the Excalibur for the dates you intend to be there. If you know you will be attending, I strongly encourage you to book as soon as possible, because I've been watching the website for the past 24 hours, and rates can change rapidly based upon availability and/or other factors.
I apologize for this change, but at least we are not out any money (the deposit I paid to hotels.com will be refunded) and, hopefully this makes the rooms more affordable for more people to attend.
Caution: be very careful when using Excalibur's website -- you have to click on just the right options to get the best rate.
Click on: Excalibur (I'll open in a new window so you can refer back if needed.)
If you are willing to pay your entire room fee in advance (non-refundable, remember), then, in the upper left corner of the page, where it says "$10 off per night -- Book Here And Save", put in your arrival date, number of nights, etc. and click on "Check Availability".
A new window will open. Double-check your arrival night, etc. then click on "Search Availability".
This should take you to a page with various room options ("Widescreen Tower Room", "Tower Room", "Widescreen View Room", etc.). Choose your room, bed and room type (ex: Tower/King/Non-Smoking). Then, click on "Book This Room".
The rest is self-explanatory.
If you do not want to take advantage of the $10/night discount and just want to make a deposit on a reservation, follow these steps:
Click on: Excalibur (I'll open in a new window so you can refer back if needed.)
Scroll down to the calender (February is the first month listed) and click on the month you plan to arrive (in our case, April) on the left-hand side of the Feb calender.
In the April calendar, click on the date you plan to arrive. A new window will open, and for some reason the date will be January (whatever date you planned to arrive) -- change it to April and fill in the other blanks, then click on "Search Availability".
The same room options as described above will come up, with pricing that's $10 higher. Choose your room, bed and room type (ex: Tower/King/Non-Smoking). Then, click on "Book This Room".
The rest is self-explanatory.
If you have any trouble, I'll be happy to help you. Give me a call at the number below.
After you book your room, please go to our FOSP website and add your name(s) to the attendance list, if not already there (or see who's already signed up).
Hope this was easy to understand. Don't hesitate to call or e-mail me if you have any questions or comments.
Thanks again. JET (512) 402-1919
P.S. More details about activities and the reunion schedule (see the tentative schedule here) to follow in the next couple of weeks, so stay tuned.
